A Sweet Victory

Researchers in Germany have developed a new sugar substitute called X3. This sweetener is derived from Brazzein, a protein found in Pentadiplandra brazzeana berries native to parts of Africa. One gram of X3 is said to be "as sweet as approximately 10 kilograms of sugar.” As a result, you would need very little to enhance the flavor of food and beverages, which is why it’s considered nearly calorie-free. Life-saving Checkups

As the first line of defense, it's essential to emphasize patient education on risk factors such as tobacco use, alcohol consumption, dietary habits, and the importance of good oral hygiene. By prioritizing these oral cancer screenings, dental professionals can make a significant impact on early detection and patient outcomes.
